So Comfortable

I’ve had these shoes/boots a couple weeks now and am impressed. They’re all I hoped for and more. I’ve had a pair the UA hunting boots for a few years that have served me well, but don’t fit the bill for the daily hiking shoe. Along come these and I couldn’t love them more. They are tight going on but that’s by design. They hug the ankles perfectly. Good for jogging when I have to quickly catch up to my 4 year old but meant for terrain which they handle well. I came up with a pretty sweet looking knot tie pattern as well. The laces are kind of useless do to how well they fit already, but nice to have the extra chordage when going off trail.

I like them.

The design of the shoe caught my eye but then I saw Valsetz. Valsetz and I are in a hate/hate relationship. They were never comfortable to me so I took a risk purchasing these boots/shoes. First off, I wear 9.5 in women's shoes. I purchased size 8 since these are men's shoes. My feet generally look huge when I'm wearing any kind of shoe however THESE beauties make my feet look smaller than they are (yasss). It is a little tight when pulling them on, oh yeah they're pull-on/slip-on shoes, but once they were around my ankles, they were just fine. There are laces so you can tighten the shoe around your foot but I didn't see or feel the need to do this. They're snug enough to not really need the laces properly tied but not be uncomfortably tight unless you have super wide feet or huge ankles. Let me tell you about these insoles- they're so comfortable and for the life of me I cannot figure out why the actual Valsetz boots were so uncomfortable compared to these masterpieces. They're squishy but not super squishy. They have the right amount of spring and are wonderful. I've worn them on 10+ hour work shifts of 9 hours of standing/walking and have yet to have any foot/knee/back/everything pain. I definitely get my steps in without the need to stay within range of a chair or bench for these old-before-their-time knees. The soles. They're super grippy (imo) and they DO NOT SQUEAK ON TILE OR OTHER HARD ROCK-LIKE-TYPE SURFACES. That's all I want, for people to not be able to hear me coming through 2 doors or sound like I'm wearing clown shoes. I realize this review is a very positive review however everyone's taste/level of comfort is different so don't just go off of this. There is literally nothing that I don't like about this shoe. Nothing. With that being said, I really hope UA continues to make these boots exactly as they are now so I can buy and wear them forever.

Valsetz Trek Shoes Fit the Bill

These shoes are ideal for walking the dog or any other outside activity plus are versatile enough for work wear. Comfort plus along with the aggressive tread are just what I need.

Measure foot for the right size

These are a little darker than the picture, very comfortable for cross training, good arch support, hard to get on tho. I wear a women’s size 8.5 normally..I ordered these in size 6.5 and had a perfect fit. So comfortable, plenty of room in toe box. Only complaint is they are hard to get on,but I like the slip on,I took the laces out that came with them. And these are darker than I wanted.

A Sad Failure of Design - Whomp Whomp Whomp

UA Valsetz Trek Disrupt has the potential to be a good shoe. However, the lack of an adjustable ankle collar means it's entirely too tight. My stats --- I'm athletic, 6'0", 185lb, and wear size US 11. I like my shoes to have a wider toe box and throat line. Comparatively, the KTV Horizon's are my favorite UA shoe. But in typical UA fashion, they discontinued that model. I was hoping the Disrupt would be a good replacement. I was wrong. The Disrupt is made with good quality materials. It's lightweight without diminishing durability. The styling is fresh. However, the nylon straps should be functional rather than just look cool. Why not make them adjustable? It's a total miss. I'd give the shoe a 4 out of 5 if it was adjustable around the ankle. But as it stands, it's a 2 out of 5 for me. A definite pass for people with normal size ankles. Whomp Whomp Whomp.
