I wouldn't even think of using any belt bags but since I've incorporated running to my workout routine and I have to carry some items, I had to find a good one that's built properly for training and still can look trendy as well. This bag combines both elements. Might be a bit pricy though.

This waist bag is very efficient, can put anything inside. The compartment really help to organize everything inside. Great to wear to the gym and doing weights where i can put my necessities inside.
